New WorkHub Offices/Community Resource Centre Within New Residential Development near Chichester

The Business WorkHub/Community Resource Centre is situated within a new residential development of 118 dwellings to be built by CALA Homes. The WorkHub is located immediately to the front of the development and situated on the first floor and will comprise 2 office/meeting rooms, large open plan desk area, kitchen, ladies and gent WCs plus disabled, passenger lift and store rooms. The office and retail complex has a combined 15 allocated car parking spaces.

Southern Gateway

The Southern Gateway is the biggest regeneration project that the city has seen for decades.

The project will involve transforming this largely brownfield area into a vibrant and attractive new quarter, with the aim of providing:

  • new homes
  • business and retail space
  • leisure and tourism facilities;
  • improved transport links with a focus on cycling, walking and public transport, plus
  • Improved public realm and open spaces.

The aim is to better connect the centre of Chichester to other city locations such as the canal basin and the public transport hub.

Shopwhyke Lakes Business Park

The site, approximately 1 acre, was granted outline planning for 4,400 sq m (47,000 sq ft) of B1 use under planning ref: 0/11/05283/OUT.

The site is located at the A27 Chichester bypass entrance to Shopwyke Lakes, 1.2 miles to the east of Chichester City Centre.

Shopwyke Lakes is a substantial 80 acre estate undergoing development of 585 dwellings together with retail and community uses to include playing fields, park areas and lakes set within a land scaped environment.
